A menstrual disc can hold more fluid than a period cup and is suction free (IUD friendly), allowing you to leave it in all day without leaks! Yay!!
A menstrual disc sits in the vaginal fornix, right under the cervix. It collects your menstrual fluid internally.
I was nervous trying a menstrual disc for the first time, but the instructions from Hey Zomi were so practical and reassuring that my first time using it was actually so great! I can't believe I waited this long.
I thought I had to replace my (white) zomi after a year or so, but then I saw the tablets were available and thought I'd give it a shot... I left my cup in overnight, and it is almost back to white! It was more stained than the one in the promotional video, and now I'm happy that I don't have to buy a replacement cup :)
I was sceptical and worried it would leak but my mind has been blown! I can't wait to tell my daughter that no PE class or swimming training will hold her back! Thank you!
As someone who has used a menstrual cup religiously for the past 6 years, I didn’t think anything could top it, until I tried a menstrual disc. I’m honestly so glad I made the switch.
The disc has been a total game-changer in terms of comfort and ease. Unlike the cup, I barely feel it once it’s in place, and I don’t experience the same pressure or suction feeling. It sits differently, which took a day or two to get used to, but after that it just felt right.
Emptying it is also surprisingly easy and less messy than I expected, and the fact that it can be worn during sex is a huge bonus I never had with my cup.
If you’re a seasoned cup user and curious about discs, I highly recommend giving it a go—it might just surprise you. For me, it’s been a major upgrade.
This is the best period product I have ever used. I didn't get to practice placement prior to my period but no issues. Love it.
Very easy to use! Just demonstrates the wonderful evolution and research which has gone into women’s health to make many lives easier… we have come a long way!
This disc has totally changed the game! I didn't really understand it, I just put it in and backed up with period undies hoping for the best and not one leak for 12 hours! I did notice some blood on my heavy day when I went to the toilet, but it didn't leak outside of this. Like it emptied a little on the toilet and then it just kept collecting inside the disc all day. Removing the disc in the shower is genius and I could then put it back in and sleep so comfortably all night. No more sitting in stinky period undies, I feel so free like I'm not even on my period when using the disc. I even went for a 10km run and a pilates class, no leaks. Game changer!
I had been on the fence about a menstrual disc for a while, now I’ve just finished my first period using one and I wish I’d not waited!
Firstly, so easy to use! I gave it a practice run before my period started and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to insert and how comfortable it felt.
I have had 2 big babies and do have a mild prolapse so I still had a little leakage (as I did with tampons too) so I have purchased some period undies to try so I can move away from liners as well as tampons (would love to support some hey zomi period undies in the future 😉). I’m also a very active and busy person and love that I can just pop this in of a morning and go about my whole day without a worry!
So easy to remove, empty, clean and insert. I love everything about this product and I’m telling all of my friends!
Thank you ladies 😘
I had an issue with my first disc experience, but Mika was incredibly supportive throughout. She gave me helpful advice and really cheered me up when I felt discouraged. What impressed me most was that she followed up afterwards, which made me feel that she truly cares about women’s health and supporting a better experience with periods. Thanks to her, I feel encouraged to keep trying with my disc. Thank you, Mika!
I was nervous to use the disc, but wanted to try an alternative that my daughter could use also. Honestly, I found it a little awkward to insert, but once inserted, hey zomi disc is so much more comfortable than tampons! And I feel I am free to move wearing it. I wish I had switched earlier!
Highly recommend.
The hey zomi menstrual disc is great easy to use definitely recommend it I have always used the menstrual cup but now I get to try something new
Really happy with the zomi disc. Easy & leak free from first try. I had previously used a cup, this is much, much easier. More comfortable than period knickers. I love that there is no waste. It has already paid for itself, by second month. I haven't used any disposable or back up products.
More comfortable than a tampon and pad. Will stay put all day with no leaks at all! You don't even know it is in. The size may be scary, but honestly, with the instructions, it is just as easy (and painless) as a tampon. Will never go back to tampons or pads.
I used my menstrual disc for the first time, I found it a lot easier to insert than a cup and it seems to hold more. It did still leak but not as much as the cup. I definitely prefer this over my cup. I was super comfortable I forgot it was in after the initial 2nd day when my flow is the heaviest.
I have used another type of disk before but I definitely prefer Hey Zomi. It's slightly smaller and the finger tab makes it much easier and a little less messy when removing. Can't feel a thing throughout the day and overnight. I also find that using a disk reduces period pain.
The Hey Zomi disc means no more leaks, all day comfort, no suction and even mess free pleasure!
It’s having your period, but not feeling like you’re having your period!
