The Hey Zomi Flow Check asks questions about your period, bleeding patterns, related symptoms and how your period affects your life. Because some of this information relates to your health, we treat it as sensitive information and take its privacy seriously.

What we collect

When you complete the Flow Check, we may collect information about:

·       your period and bleeding patterns

·       symptoms you experience around your period

·       how your period affects your everyday life

·       your previous experiences seeking healthcare for your period

·       what kind of period support you may be interested in

·       your responses to questions about potential Hey Zomi services

·       basic technical and analytics information such as device type, country, referral source and campaign information

·       your email address, only if you choose to provide it at the end

·       your preferences about receiving future Hey Zomi communications

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

·       create and display your personalised Flow Profile

·       email you a copy of your Flow Profile if you request one

·       understand period experiences and how people recognise and manage heavy periods

·       understand interest in potential heavy-period support and services

·       improve the Flow Check and future Hey Zomi products and services

·       analyse Flow Check results in aggregate for research and product development

The Flow Check is an educational tool. Your answers are not used to provide a medical diagnosis or personalised medical advice.

Your email and communications

You do not need to provide an email address to see your Flow Profile.

If you provide your email address, we will use it to send you the Flow Profile you requested.

You can also separately choose to:

·       Receive updates if Hey Zomi launches its heavy-period care service, and/or

·       Receive general Hey Zomi emails about period education, products and offers.

Both are optional. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

We will not use the individual health information you provide in the Flow Check to personalise marketing about Hey Zomi products.

Analytics and advertising

We may use analytics tools to understand how people use the Flow Check and which campaigns lead people to it.

Individual answers about your bleeding, symptoms or other health information, and health-related results derived from those answers, will not be sent to advertising platforms such as Meta or Google for advertising or audience targeting.

We may use general events such as whether the Flow Check was viewed, started or completed to understand the performance of our advertising.

Service providers

We may use trusted service providers to host the Flow Check, securely store information, provide analytics and send requested emails or communications. These providers may process information on our behalf in order to provide those services.

How long we keep your information

We keep raw individual Flow Check responses for up to 12 months. After that, they will be deleted or de-identified.

If you provide your email address only to receive your Flow Profile, we will delete it within 30 days of sending your report. If you consent to receive service-launch or general Hey Zomi marketing communications, we may keep your contact details and consent record until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.

We may retain aggregated or de-identified research information for longer because it no longer identifies you.
